There are 5 easy ways to rotate around the center of a fractal. they are all done from the "Axis" menu of any drawing window or the parameters window.
- H <=> V
This is a rotation in only the loosest sence. The horizontal and vertical axes are swapped. The effect is that of rotating the currint picture around the 45 degree diagonal that slopes up and to the right between the tow axes.
- Rot. 90 left
Do this and the next picture will be a 90 degree counter-clockwise rotation from the current picture. The values of height and width will be swapped so that you will still be looking at the same area.
If you have a fixed width to height ratio set the height and width swap will be undone when you draw the picture, so you probably want to turn that feature off before drawing the rotated picture.
- Rot. 90 right
Do this and the next picture will be a 90 degree clockwise rotation from the current picture. The values of height and width will be swapped so that you will still be looking at the same area. If you have a fixed width to height ratio set the height and width swap will be undone when you draw the picture, so you probably want to turn that feature off before drawing the rotated picture.
- Mouse V-axis
This lets you click twice on the picture to choose which way will be straight up in the next picture. The position of the first click will be below that of the second when the picture is redrawn.
- Mouse H-axis
This lets you click twice on the picture to choose which way will be horizontal in the next picture. The position of the first click will be to the left that of the second when the picture is redrawn.
